Television Writing
From working on writing staffs on network television shows, to creating content with some of the top names in comedy, to developing treatments and scripts for producers…
It turns out a lot can happen in 6+ years of working in Hollywood.
Television Shows
Below are three network tv shows I was fortunate enough to be a part of. For each show, I worked on the writing staff developing ideas, editing scripts, working in the fast-paced environment of television, all while learning how to create compelling narratives from some of the best writers, joke-creators, and storytellers in the comedy television world.
Superstore
NBC’s hit show lasted 6 wonderful seasons. I found myself lucky enough to work on season 5, with a talented group of writers and actors.
Downward Dog
An indie ABC darling. I’ll be proud of this show forever. The first network comedy to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, in 2017.
Portlandia
Helped “keep Portland weird” for seasons’ 3 & 4 of this iconic sketch comedy series. Each day was a comedy clinic and an overall riot.
“You’re nuts… but, you’re welcome here.”
- Steve Martin
Steve Martin’s comedy albums are what first made me fall in love with the comedy art form. Ever since my dad introduced me to the comedy album —at a some might say too young of an age— I was hooked. For better or worse.
Comedy has always played a pivotal role in my writing, storytelling, and overall outlook on life. Throughout my time working in Hollywood, I’ve learned from some of the greats in the business. This fortune continued when I began working at All Things Comedy Network, created by Bill Burr and Al Madrigal, where I worked with some of the funniest comedians and comedy writers in the business.
My time spent at the network consisted of working closely with a comedian/writer/actor/producer extraordinaire. Over a couple of years we developed several television, film, and multi-media projects.
(Due to NDA’s I cannot share too much about the materials).
